Usage Methods and Precautions for Waterproof Accelerator

Waterproof quick-setting agents can cause cement to set quickly, with setting times adjustable from a few seconds to several minutes, controlled by the amount added. Cement mortar or neat cement mixed with this product has strong adhesion to bricks and commercial concrete, making it suitable for applications such as wall and floor leak sealing and waterproofing..

1. Sealing Water Cracks and Holes:
Prepare waterproof mortar with a setting time of about 40 seconds. Press it into the cracks (holes) by hand, and release once it has set.

2. Five-Layer Waterproof Coating:

First Layer:
Use a plain gray layer. The mix ratio is cement: water: waterproof agent = 1:0.3–0.35:0.01.
First, apply a 1mm thick plain gray layer, pressing it 5–6 times with a trowel, then level with a plain gray layer about 1mm thick. Use a brush dipped in water to evenly coat it, then immediately apply the second layer.

Second Layer:
The mix ratio is cement: water: sand: waterproof agent = 1:0.4–0.5:2–2.5:0.01.
Evenly apply a layer about 5mm thick and create stripes with a broom. After 24 hours, proceed to the third layer.

Third Layer:
Apply a plain gray layer about 2mm thick, with the same mix ratio as the first layer.

Fourth Layer:
Similar to the second layer, but do not broom after application. After 3–4 hours, press down 2–3 times with a trowel until it has absorbed water and is slightly damp but not sticky, then proceed to the fifth layer.

Fifth Layer:
Apply a plain gray layer about 1mm thick, using the same mix ratio as the first layer. Ensure uniform application, then press down 3–4 times with a trowel after it has absorbed water.

1. The base layer must be cleaned thoroughly beforehand. Any unevenness should be addressed to prevent bubbling.

2. No obvious seams should be left between layers.
